Orange Cake


A cake full of delicate sweetness with the king of winter as the protagonist, to be offered with a fresh glass of our Cartizze Luxury.


Ingredients for a 24 cm mould

350 gr of 00 flour

200 gr of sugar

200 gr of orange marmalade

3 organic oranges (200ml)

120 gr. butter

3 eggs

1 sachet of baking powder

2 tbsp brown sugar


Procedure

Carefully wash an orange and cut it into slices. Place the rounds on the bottom of a buttered cake pan sprinkled with brown sugar. 

Whip the eggs with the sugar in a bowl until fluffy and add the softened butter, the juice and grated orange peel, the flour and the baking powder. Knead everything to obtain a smooth mixture. Pour the mixture into the mold where you placed the oranges and spread a few tablespoons of jam on the surface.

Preheat the static oven to 180° and bake your cake for 30/40 minutes.

Remove the cake from the oven and wait for it to be lukewarm, then turn it upside down to highlight the caramelized orange slices on the bottom and offer with a precious glass of Cartizze Luxury.
